We’re looking for a Digital Content Creator and Coordinator to help tell our story and share our journey as we bring record-breaking fan cars to life for our clients around the world.

 

Job Overview:

We’re seeking a talented and creative Digital Content Creator and Coordinator to join our marketing team. With 2-3 years of experience in the motorsport or high-end automotive sector, you will be responsible for crafting compelling visual and written content that shares the McMurtry story and technology with the clients and supporters around the world. This is a hands-on role where you’ll plan, shoot, edit, and post dynamic photo and video content, engage with our audience on social media, and contribute to key marketing materials. If you’re passionate about motorsport, automotive technology, and electric vehicles, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Production:

  • Plan, shoot, and edit photo and video content at our factory, capturing the behind-the-scenes journey of creating record-breaking cars. Provide regular updates that showcase McMurtry’s innovation and performance.

Social Media & Website Management:

  • Manage and post content on platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and our website. Engage with followers, monitor interactions, and ensure the brand voice is consistent across all channels.

Client Experience Enhancement:

  • Document unique aspects of car builds to enhance client experience, capturing moments that highlight the craftsmanship and performance of their bespoke cars.

Creative Direction for Client Gifts:

  • Lead the creative direction for client gifts/keepsakes, ensuring that these materials align with McMurtry’s brand and enhance customer relationships.

Copywriting & Content Support:

  • Write creative and technical copy to support both vehicle and technology sales. Update website content, press releases, and contribute to various marketing materials.

Dealer Support:

  • Provide worldwide dealers with photos, videos, and written content to support their marketing activities.

Event & Launch Support:

  • For larger events or car launches, co-ordinate freelance experts to provide additional support for content creation.
  • Some flexibility and time away in the UK and abroad is required for work when accompanying the cars to events including weekends and evenings. Typically 10 events a year (eg. 3 events abroad for a week, 7 events in the UK for three days away)

Ad Hoc Design Tasks:

  • Use Adobe Illustrator and photoshop (or equivalent) for simple tasks, such as sponsor decals, event displays, and other related creative needs.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in content creation or digital marketing, particularly within the motorsport or high-end automotive sector.

Passion & Knowledge:

  • A strong passion for motorsport, automotive technology, and a keen interest in learning about electric vehicles.

Content Creation Skills:

  • Proficiency in planning, shooting, editing, and post-production of photos and videos (basic Photoshop and video editing skills). Experience with social media content management and matching tone of voice.

Copywriting:

  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create engaging content for both technical and client-facing communications.

Creative & Technical Tools:

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (for example: Photoshop, Illustrator) and video editing software (for example: Premiere Pro, DaVinci, CapCut). Ability to work independently with some basic graphic design and editing tasks.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and events teams, and work with external freelancers when required.

Self-Motivated & Detail-Oriented:

  • Ability to manage a few projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with great attention to detail. Eager to learn and improve.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in automotive or motorsport content creation is highly desirable.
  • Portfolio or links to your previous work is essential.

  • Salary range £25,000 – £40,000 depending on experience.
