Electronics Engineer – Hardware Design & Testing

Position Summary:

The electrical team is responsible for bringing our amazing vehicles to life through facilitating the broad array of electromechanical systems that we require. To do this, we must cover system design, component integration & hardware design, in addition to conducting robust testing both on-rig and on vehicle. We value our open and collaborate culture within the team and expect all our team members to actively contribute towards this.

The successful candidate will be an electrical engineering generalist; you will need to be flexible and enthusiastic about taking on a range of projects dependant on the team’s requirements. Within each of these projects, you will be expected to take a proactive approach in self-management, problem solving and identifying steps towards project goals.

Specific tasks include:

  • Electrical system design and documentation
  • Component identification and selection
  • Wiring harness design
  • Schematic and PCB design.
  • Defining and performing component and system testing on rig & on vehicle

Skills Required:

  • A relevant degree level qualification.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a relevant role.
  • A good technical understanding of major systems in automotive systems, including key electrical system components & protocols.
  • Enthusiasm about new technologies and problem solving in an automotive/motorsport environment.
  • Experience of electronic circuit & PCB design.
  • Competent in writing software.
  • Demonstrate the ability to apply sound engineering practice and first-principles knowledge of electronics to problem solving.
