That’s why we created the McMurtry Owners Club.
The Spéirling has attracted a group of individuals who don’t just want to own a car, they want to understand it, push it and share the experience with others who think the same way.
But what stands out most about our owners is their love of driving.
Which is why we launched our first event ahead of Spéirling deliveries, this isn’t something that starts with the car, it starts with the drivers.
The First Event
Aside from the enjoyment, the Owners Club is designed to prepare our owners for the ultimate grip driving experience in their Spéirling’s. By stripping things back to the fundamentals, no downforce, very little grip and zero driver aids, Ice Driving was the ultimate test of car control.
‘To master grip, first you must lose it’
We chose Tuthill to host our first event at their renowned Below Zero Ice Driving experience. With over 10km of unrestricted, interconnecting circuits carved into metre thick ice and a fleet of rally prepared air-cooled Porsche 911s, it is a true bucket list experience for any driving enthusiast.
Set against the backdrop of Scandinavian scenery, with carefully selected hotels and restaurants, it created the perfect environment. Every detail handled, every transition seamless, allowing complete immersion for our owners.
More Than Driving
Owners travelled from all corners of the world to join us, brought together by a shared mindset and a genuine desire to drive.
We held specification sessions for those yet to finalise their Spéirling, giving them the opportunity to refine their cars with real clarity on how they intend to use them.
Thomas Yates also gave an exclusive deep dive into the production car, sharing updates and imagery not yet seen outside of McMurtry.
By the end of the event, what began as a group of individuals had become something far more cohesive.
