On 1st March, the Spéirling was unveiled outside of the UK for the first time.   Guests from the Dubai car community were invited to a VIP reveal and on-track demonstration of the record breaking McMurtry Spéirling.  UAE dealer Knight International hosted 70 guests at Dubai Autodrome as MD Thomas Yates discussed future products and test driver Max Chilton demonstrated the car under the floodlit circuit

At a private event on the 3rd March, certain guests were invited to test drive the car to experience the world famous launch using the downforce-on-demand system and instant torque to good effect to feel the sub 1.5sec 0-60mph time for themselves.   This was a great opportunity to demonstrate how accessible and repeatable this performance is, and how the controls and cockpit can be quickly adjusted to suit different drivers sizes.   After an adrenalin fuelled run one driver enthused “this is a rocket ship, I cannot believe it, please let me go again”.

Throughout the week the car was based out of the ‘Cars Shipping’ workshop adjacent to the Cars Café on the Dubai Autodrome premises, where the car was also on public display for an afternoon. The feedback and support from the car community in Dubai, in person and online, surpassed expectations and we hope to return to the UAE again soon.
